ePLUS Tap To Pay Co-presents the 2nd Super Junior Convention!
It was once again that time of the year where Everlasting Friends of Super Junior in the Philippines unite for one epic day of pure Super Junior fun. Last August 25, The Second Philippines SJ Convention was held at the Skydome SM City North EDSA.
What sets apart this year's festivities are ePLUS Tap To Pay and Korean fashion brand Basic House joining hand-in-hand with Super Junior United Philippines to bring this year's event to an all new level. As early as 10am fans were already busy enjoying different Super Junior inspired activities, booths, and merchandise booths laid out throughout the venue, while all of these are happening, Super Junior music videos are constantly playing on stage which kept everyone more excited for big announcement later that day.
Performances by cover groups Super Simple, Elfinity, and AMMA left the crowd in awe with their perfect dance and song renditions of different Super Junior songs. Fan chants commonly done by K-pop fans were done by the audience while the performances are on going, which shows how much ELF adores their 'oppas'.
One of the highlight of SJ Convention are the contests for the fans, this year two pageant-type competitions were done, first is Ms. Simple: Super Girl, where fan girls showed their talents and Super Junior wit through a Q&A portion. The fan boys were not left out as they also have their own contest -- Mr. Simple: SJ Style Superman Edition where guys showed their best imitation of their favorite Super Junior members, they were also surprised with an acting challenge for their talent portion.
The highly anticipated big announcement was also done that day confirming Super Junior's return to the Philippines with Super Show 5 Manila happening on October 24, 2013 at the Mall of Asia Arena. The official promotion video was shown which left Skydome shaking with the loud scream from the Filipino ELFs.
Mr. Allan Florendo, ePLUS Digital Business Unit Head personally announced the good news on stage, together with the announcement of ePLUS' participation in the upcoming concert.
ePLUS kept bringing out surprises as fans who registered for an ePLUS card, as well as those who topped up credits in their existing ePLUS cards got the chance to win an awesome prize - a VIP ticket to Super Show 5 Manila! Mixed reactions were seen in faces of the ticket winners after their names were announced.
The event ended with the announcements and briefing of Fan Projects for Super Junior's upcoming concert in Manila. Winners of the Ms. Simple & Mr. Simple was also announced and took home a pair of VIP tickets, as well as other prizes from sponsors.
